Colocation

If a hosting provider offers colocation, you can purchase your own server, configure it, and deliver it to their location. They place it in a data center and connect it to the Internet, and you pay a monthly fee.

Colocation is usually more expensive than leasing a dedicated server, but it offers you the chance to use a non-standard server configuration or operating system. You are also usually allowed access to maintain the machine. For this reason, colocation isn't really practical unless the facility is local to you.
